Band

6TH GRADE BAND:

The 6th grade band will have rehearsals during RTI, with the possibility of an After School rehearsal, if needed, in preparation for their concerts. Rehearsals are required.  Dates will be communicated with students, teachers, and families in advance.
 

7th GRADE BAND:

The 7th grade band will have rehearsals during RTI, with the possibility of an After School rehearsal, if needed, in preparation for their concerts. Rehearsals are required.  Dates will be communicated with students, teachers, and families in advance.
 

8th GRADE BAND:

In addition to 8th Grade Concert Band rehearsals first hour, students may come to the band room during RTI. This is their opportunity to rehearse music we are learning during class, music from a private instructor, solo and ensemble music, etc. Students may work independently or in small groups.
 

WEST JAZZ ENSEMBLE:

Students of the 8th grade band, or other 8TH grade members of the student body who take private piano, guitar, or bass, may contact Mrs. Swope or Mr. Donnelly to be considered for the jazz band. Jazz band will meet on THURSDAYS during RTI, as well as a few outside of school rehearsals.  Those dates will be communicated as they are needed. 7th Grade band students, or other 7th grade members of the student body who take private piano, guitar, or bass, may participate in the jazz program second semester. Those dates will be announced later in the year.
